According to me, here are the top 10 QBs in the league:
1. Aaron Rodgers - If you seen him play, you should be able to know that he is even more talented than Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were in their heyday.
2. Tom Brady - Terrific Tom is a winner. With all the talk about Bill Belicheck making Tom Brady, dont forget Belicheck was fired in Cleveland and was a losing coach in NE with a potential Hall of Famer Drew Bledsow. When Tom Brady arrived, so did Bill Belicheck.
3. Peyton Manning - Consistent. Manning will always be behind Brady due to his inability to win in the playoffs. Even the year that he won - he played poorly in the playoffs.
4. Drew Brees - Stat Machine - He needed one Super Bowl to go with all the regular season heroics. He got it. To move up the list, he needs atleast one more.
5. Ben Rothlisberger - He started winning immediately. Was 15-1 as a rookie, has won 2 super bowls, and is fun to watch. Comparatively, Manning and Brees both struggled in their rookie years.
6. Michael Vick - Greatest playmaker in the history of the game. He is one quarterback that can overcome a shoddy offensive line and butter finger receivers. I can firmly say, adding him to a 2-14 team, can be 10-6 in a year. Him alone is good for 8 wins.
7. Eli Manning - not being vocal probably hurts Eli. However, he has won a Super Bowl. Him being the quarterback for the Giants gives them a chance every year
8. Philip Rivers - Is a poor mans Peyton Manning. But he does not even make it to the playoffs consistently, while every year, his team is touted as one of the most talented teams. Im even hesitant to place him at 7. Just for you Rivers lovers.
9. Matt Ryan - The heart and soul of the Atlanta Falcon team. He is a hard worker. Lately, he has shed his "checkdown" image and began to take chances. That is the only way he will win a Super Bowl and jump on this list
10. Matt Shaub - a poor mans Drew Brees. He has shown he can stay healthy. Now, can he lead his team deap into the playoffs? We will have to wait.
On the cusp to greatness: Matt Stafford, Ryan Fitzpatrick
Biggest chokers who blame their failures on offensive line: Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford
